Why I'm Running for the North Carolina House of Representatives:

As I run for the North Carolina House of Representatives, I am committed to serving the common good and striving for the best interest of the people of Gaston County. In the last few years, North Carolina has been taken in the wrong direction.

  • The General Assembly has been neglecting our public school system, which not too long ago had been widely viewed as the best in the region.

  • Our legislators in Raleigh have enacted tax policies that disproportionately burden working families and small businesses.

  • And they continue to ignore the need of the most vulnerable in our state for available healthcare.

Many of the General Assembly's ill-conceived actions have been taken without time for public input and without thought for unintended consequences. These actions are not in the best interest of North Carolina nor of Gaston County.

The people of Gaston County deserve better. I will listen to everyone's concerns and stand up for what is right and fair. Together we can achieve a brighter future for Gaston County and North Carolina.
